New Releases 9/16: SLASH, MIKE DOUGHTY & More…

Admittedly, this week there are not nearly as many new releases as last, but some good ones nonetheless. Country fans have a lot to be happy about with a new live album from George Strait and a studio effort from Tim McGraw. I am also interested in the new albums by Mike Doughty and Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood.

  • Allah Las- “Worship The Sun”
  • Diabolic- “Fightin Words”
  • Franz Ferdinand- “Late Night Tales: Franz Ferdinand”
  • George Strait- “Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium”
  • James- “La Petite Mort”
  • Jesse Winchester- “A Reasonable Amount Of Time”
  • Lynne Hanson- “River Of Sand”
  • Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood- “Juice”
  • Mike Doughty- “Stellar Motel”
  • Mike Farris- “Shine For All The People”
  • Paolo Nutini- “Caustic Love”
  • Pineapple Thief- “Magnolia”
  • Sir Sly- “You Haunt Me”
  • Slash- “World On Fire”
  • Tim McGraw- “Sundown Heaven Town”

These are the new albums coming out on Tuesday, September 16th. I have sampled all of these and heard something that spoke of musical quality in each of them. I will be reviewing one of these albums next week and will have the review posted on Wednesday. That’s What I Know, So That’s What You Know!!
