Monthly Archives: August 2016

About three years ago, I started Our Musical Journey, the blog site, to give myself an outlet to promote quality music, both locally and on a larger scale, especially those acts that don’t get a lot of press. I also wanted to try to give some love to smaller music festivals, that sometimes get lost among the huge multi-day festivals with mainstream headliners. When I added the birthday posts, I was hoping to appeal to our sense of musical nostalgia, with no judgement and plenty of memories.

In those three years, I discovered some amazing musical acts, albums and festivals. Though it has been a lot of work, which often meant a couple of hours of research and a few drafts for each post, I have loved getting to hear music that I wouldn’t have, otherwise. However, after three years, I have decided to let my contract run out, so I can focus on some other interests, which still includes music exploration at the top of the list. Hopefully, I have been able to turn some of you on to music that has brought joy to your journey. I would like to thank all of you who have followed me over the last three years and encourage you to always be true to your ears. I would also like to thank my family for putting up with me always behind the keyboard or at the front of the stage. A special thanks to my Wonderful Wife, who listened to my ideas and gave me a wellspring of good advice.

Though I won’t be posting music information through this blog site anymore, I am still going to share plenty of music info, photos and videos on Facebook, so feel free to follow me there. I may not be running my own blog site, but that certainly doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t be willing to do some posts for someone else. So if you have a music blog or are thinking about starting one, please feel free to hit me up for whatever help I can provide. Thanks Again!!
