One of the most classic of old-school rock acts, The Doobie Brothers are bringing their unique blend of music to Thunder Mountain Amphitheatre, this Sunday. Despite a five year hiatus in the 1980’s, this band and their songs have endured on the radio since the early 70’s. The band started as a favorite of the biker scene, but soon refined their live sound to incorporate more acoustic instrumentation and a rock, country-western mix. In the mid-70’s, Michael McDonald came into the fold and changed the sound again, with his softer, more soulful vibe. The Doobie Brothers have survived the millenium and recently re-recorded their hits with country music superstars on the perfectly crisp “Southbound”. With original Doobie, Tom Johnston and early member, Patrick Simmons, still in the fold, they are still going and sounding quite good, I might add.
The Doobie Brothers will be playing at Thunder Mountain Amphitheatre in Loveland, this Sunday, 4/19!! The gates open at 3 p.m. and the two openers begin at 4 p.m. The weather will not be very warm and may be a little wet, but it will be a great show for sure.
That’s What I Know, So That’s What You Know!! Enjoy!!
HAPPY LISTENING!!!! 😉
