I have often said that the decision as to which album to review, is a really hard one, and some weeks that is true. Next week, it is as true as it has ever been. With bands like Gov’t Mule, Umphrey’s McGee, Lord Huron, The Waterboys and The Mountain Goats releasing albums on Tuesday, It will take many samples to get to the best one. Besides those releases, there will also be new material available from legends like Todd Rundgren, Steve Vai and Brian Wilson. It is highly improbable that there isn’t a new album to fit everyone’s tastes.

  • Agnostic Front- “The American Dream Died”
  • American Wrestlers- “American Wrestlers”
  • Brian Wilson- “No Pier Pressure”
  • Cassandra Wilson- “Coming Forth By Day”
  • Delta Rae- “After It All”
  • Gov’t Mule- “Dub Side Of The Moon”
  • John Brown’s Body- “Kings & Queens In Dub”
  • Josh Rouse- “The Embers Of Time”
  • Lord Huron- “Strange Trails”
  • Pokey Lafarge- “Something In The Water”
  • Steve Vai- “Stillness In Motion: Vai Live In LA”
  • The London Souls- “Here Come The Girls”
  • The Mountain Goats- “Beat The Champ”
  • The Very Best- “Makes A King”
  • This Is The Kit- “Bashed Out”
  • Todd Rundgren- “Global”
  • Toro y Moi- “What For”
  • Umphrey’s McGee- “London Session”
  • Waterboys- “Modern Blues”
  • Young Fathers- “White Men Are Black Men Too”

This is a really amazing list of new albums coming out from an impressive list of artists. I will again pick one of these remarkable albums to review, next week. Check-back on Wednesday to find out which album I chose and to read the review. That’s What I Know, So That’s What You Know!!
